CIARÁN SCOLARD
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Ciarán was appointed Managing Director of Ampersand in 2016 and brings over 30 years FMCG experience to leading the team, driving sales, and growing brands. Ciarán loves family time, is a sports fan, and unwinds with a glass of Old-World red wine.
JOHN CAREY
FINANCIAL DIRECTOR
John is our numbers man who manages the smooth operational running of Ampersand finances and IT infrastructure. John is a keen GAA supporter & devoted Dubs fanatic who attends every game across the country… rain or shine.
PHILLIP BARGUS
SALES & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Phillip comes from a very strong FMCG background with over 25 years experience within the industry across both food & alcohol companies. Phillip is a keen motorcycle enthusiast. He also loves to spend quality time with his family.
Paul is responsible for our managing, developing, and growing our wine division. Paul has over twenty years’ experience in the FMCG industry, has completed his WSET Level 2 and 3 Wine Examinations, and is currently on the final stages of completing a Level 4 Diploma. He enjoys golfing at the weekends in the West of Ireland.
Sinéad has over 20 years' marketing experience and brings a passion for creativity, branding, design and wine. In her free time she loves interior design, dining out and weekends away with family and friends.
Pat looks after our key accounts and brings a wealth of experience from both a sales and retail perspective. A marathon runner and dedicated sports fan he regularly travels to live sporting events across the world.
CAROLINE FINCH
SALES & NPD MANAGER
Caroline is responsible for responsible for driving commercial success through securing NPD as well as developing strong business partnerships with new and existing brand principals. In her spare time she enjoys coaching GAA and spending time with her family.
MELANIE NANGLE
WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Melanie has been with the company for over 27 years and is responsible for both the duty paid and bonded warehouses. She has a background in performing arts and loves spending her free time at the theatre.
GORDY LINDSAY
IT & MI MANAGER
Gordy has a 25-year experience in commercial and automotive industries, and is especially knowledgeable in areas like development, technological analysis, and consulting. He recently received a PGDip in Data Analytics and advises on technical IT strategies. Gordy enjoys playing and coaching hockey, as well as spending time with his family.
MARINA PRIFTI
HR MANAGER
Marina has over 20-year corporate experience in human resources across diverse industry sectors in EMEA. She is an accredited certified coach (ACC), NLP practitioner and Theta healer. Marina loves meditation, yoga, hiking and swimming in her spare time.
Ewelina has been an integral part of Ampersand for 7 years, rising from Accounts Assistant. She is an enthusiastic leader, overseeing a dynamic accounts team, and ensures seamless financial workflows. In her spare time, Ewelina loves travel, hiking, fitness and photography.

Ampersand’s loyal and passionate sales team have a wealth of knowledge and can assist
retailers in selecting the right product range to suit their convenience store or off-licence.
Our specialised salesforce sell to every corner spanning across the Republic of Ireland and across
all shop formats and sizes. They also have strong long-term relationships with the owners and managers at store level.
