We are delighted to announce that our Chilean wine partner Viña Santa Carolina was awarded the title of THE BEST NEW WORLD WINERY OF THE YEAR 2015 by the prestigious wine publication, the "Wine Enthusiast" Magazine.
Willie Dardis, Ampersand's Wine Manager explains the importance of the award "For us this is a feather in our cap to represent in the Irish market the leading winery, not only in Chile, but in the New World. We are proud to represent Santa Carolina in the Irish market, and to have the honour to be associated with not only an award winning winery, but also to have such wonderful, dedicated, and indeed special people as our partners and friends".
Among the factors the editors considered when selecting Santa Carolina as Best New World Winery 2015 was the winery’s tradition, extensive wine portfolio and outstanding ratings. Also taken into consideration was Viña Santa Carolina's support to innovation and development projects, new investments in fields and cellaring facilities and their presence in more than 90 markets, reaching sales of 25 million bottles of fine premium wines.
Ampersand will be promoting the award with our existing and very loyal Santa Carolina customers and will be driving sales of Santa Carolina wines in-store with Point of Sale to highlight the award to consumers.
