Matt’s creation went on to become an award winning snack which he developed in Skibbereen, County Cork, a natural product made 100% from pork rind, which when cooked to specific temperatures with unique spices results in a crunchy, crispy, flavoursome and nutritious snack…Pork Crackling with an Irish twist!

Scratch My Pork provides Irish consumers a new and exciting alternative to crisps, bacon fries, and popcorn that is currently not available on the market. Ampersand are supplying this delicious hand-cooked, gluten free, dairy free and msg free savoury snack in 3 distinct flavours: -

Salted - Slow cooked Irish crispy crackling, lightly seasoned with natural salt.

 

Smokey - Crisp mouth-watering Smokey Flavour pork rind, with garlic & capsicum aromas for a cracking BBQ flavour.

 

Cajun - Crunchy tasty pork snack, with New Orleans Cajun style spice’s, made with aromatic peppers, garlic, onion & paprika for that extra bite.

 

The new Scratch My Pork branding is modern and fun and the new packaging is both premium and eye catching in-store. Each 30g pack will retail at €2, a great price for a premium product made from the best Irish pork rind, seasoned and cooked to perfection!

The product is now available on clip strips of 12 to allow maximum awareness and sales potential. The team at Ampersand will be merchandising the clip strips at multiple impulse locations in-store with poster support. Ampersand plan to build the brand within the Irish convenience and forecourt sector with a focus on the wholesale, pub & off-license trade.
