We are delighted to announce that Ampersand have been appointed the exclusive distributor in the Republic of Ireland for Love Sweets Confectionery and from Monday 18th of July 2016 have taken over full distribution of the brand.
The Love Sweets range is a selection of €1 & €2 premium quality bagged confectionery offering high margins to retailers and a superior sweet offering to consumers.
The brand was launched by JFC Distribution, a sweet packing company based in Fermanagh in 2015. On a visit to James’s workplace his daughter Isabelle declared "Daddy…I LOVE SWEETS!” and the seed was planted… James set out to create a range of top quality sweets suitable for children.
Since the launch of Love Sweets the brand has been a great success with retailers & consumers alike with a demand for new line extensions. Love Sweets have partnered with Ampersand to maximise on this potential & grow the brand on a national scale.
Ampersand's sales force provides direct sales and merchandising services to over 3,000 FMCG customers and were seen as a perfect fit to partner with having proven success in building FMCG brands over the years. The Love Sweets brand was also the perfect addition to Ampersand's portfolio given its success and proven rate of sale as a fast moving product within the convenience and forecourt sector. Ampersand are long established as a key distributor in the convenience sector, trade with all retail groups and have full central billing arrangements with all Irish operators.
Ampersand have launched with a range of €1 hanging bags and a €2 mixed bag. Only the highest quality of sweets have been sourced for the Love Sweets range from manufacturers within the EU to ensure consumer satisfaction and repeat purchases in-store. Both the €1 hanging bags and €2 mix-ups have printed nutritional information on the front of the packs and also list all allergens on the packaging.
This range consists of 16 top selling confectionery lines that includes sour, jelly and fizzy sweets with a magic €1 price-point. Each €1 bag is packed in bright and colourfuly branded 100g size bags that stand out in-store and are the perfect size for a treat!
This is a pre-packed range made up of a mix of the most popular sweets retailing at €2. A range of sweets that both adults and children can enjoy.
The launch has been supported with a range of stands and dump bins to merchandise the products in-store and drive impulse sales. The stands have Love Sweets branding and when merchandised in-store will create huge impact, drive sales and footfall into the store as consumers purchase across the range.
