We are excited to announce that we are seeking a high calibre wine sales professional to join our expanding team as Wine Development Executive. This role is an exciting opportunity to grow our wine business and put your own stamp on it.
Ampersand is a nationwide Sales and Marketing company, supplying wine, confectionery, snack foods, cigars, tobacco accessories and vaping across all retail groups in Ireland. With over 70 years’ experience, we service directly over 3,000 stores and are a key distributor in the Convenience and Independent Off-licence sector.
Our carefully selected wine portfolio is sourced from over 30 different suppliers from all parts of the world. We currently supply the overall Irish Wine of the Year and White Wine of the Year as voted by the National Off-Licence Association (NOffLA) Irish Wine Show Awards 22/23.

What you will do:
- Cultivate and build relationships with existing and potential On & Off Trade customers in the Greater Dublin region.
- Consistently going above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Represent Ampersand at Wine Fairs & Tastings that results in new customers and sales.
- Deliver on Sales & Gross Margin targets for the region.
- Merchandising - Guiding customers in optimising sales of product through effective presentation in-store and use of Point of Sale and Social Media support.
- New Product Development - Drive sales of newly launched wines within region to include best in class use of marketing support in-store.
- Develop and execute specific initiatives where appropriate for high value accounts.
- Work cross functionally with the wider Commercial & Marketing team to deliver world class execution plans.
- Excellent attention to detail and organised in your approach.
- Always gathering Market insights that helps grow our Brands.
- Preparation of new business proposals.
What you will have:
- A passion for Wine & Customer Service is a must
- A “Can do” positive attitude is also a must
- At least two years’ experience of Wine Sales in the Dublin region
- WSET qualification
- Strong commercial acumen & consistent track record of target achievement
- Comfortable presenting Wines to both On & Off Trade accounts
- Flexibility to attend Wine Fairs and Tastings
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient IT skills across Word/Excel/Powerpoint
- Full clean driving licence
