Last month, Cleeve’s Irish Confectionery were delighted to attend the Irish Women of the Year Awards by Goss.ie.
The awards celebrated women across business, the arts, social justice, journalism, and sports - from athletes and astronauts to entrepreneurs and charity workers. The room was full of inspirational women, including Olympians Rhasidat Adeleke and Kellie Harrinton, and the positive energy was palpable.
A Cleeve’s Irish Confectionery chocolate bar was included in goody bags that were given to each attendee of the event.
The official charity partner for the event were Women's Aid Ireland, who have been working to stop domestic violence in Ireland since 1974. Their CEO, Sarah Benson, delivered a keynote speech at the awards, which emphasised the importance of preventing and addressing all forms and the impact of domestic violence in Ireland. They do this by providing free and confidential support services including the 24hr National Freephone Helpline on 1800 341 900 and an Instant Message Support Service at www.womensaid.ie, mornings and evenings, 7 days a week.
Cleeve’s Irish Confectionery were so proud to be part of such a meaningful and important event, and to support such a fantastic cause in Women’s Aid.
